Since our grid drawings, students have done lessons and works of art on the color wheel, painting, perspective, landscape and still life drawings and shading. They are currently learning about surrealism and portrait drawing.
February 5 - 9 Surreal drawing of part of the face (mouth, eye or nose)
Materials needed: Sketch book, pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, eraser
Project: Students will make a large realistic drawing of a chosen part of the face and use their imaginations to create an unreal situation that is dreamlike that incorporates either the eye, nose or mouth. Color will be added to complete this surreal work of art.
Home Learning: Students will research and write a half page report on the artist Salvador Dali.
Due: Wednesday, Feb. 7 (B-Day students), Thursday, Feb. 8 (A-Day students)
September 19 - October 3 Two-Week Grid Drawing Project
Materials needed: pencils, eraser, 12" or 18" ruler, colored pencils, sketch books (everyday)
